He may not be the genius scientist the media makes him out to be, but he's got some charm to him. Your grandma certainly thinks highly of him, and that's enough to sway the occasional politician to Selene's side when needed.

Langford's journey began roughly 25 years ago, when he had just finished his studies of psychology and neuroscience. He began writing pieces for various science journals and soon after would be taking up roles as an expert consultant in both True Crime television shows and real life court cases.

In 2018, he published a book on "The Neuroscience of Human Adaptability", which was widely criticized for making bold claims without scientific backing. It did however garner a lot of attention in some online communities.

Voss had found the work "intriguing and just the right amount of rational", and offered him a position to help shape the early stages of Selene.
