Andrea Watts is a former police officer turned private investigator after a horrific incident involving her previous partner Jeff. He was killed in front of her while they were checking out an anonymous tip of a floater in a park that matched the MO of the perp they were after. Andrea rarely shares the details of this event. Afterwards, she moved from her home town in Texas to Louisville, Kentucky to start a new life. In Louisville, Andrea often called 'Andy', met a gentleman named Artrex who, like herself, turned to private investigating after a previous career. They became work partners and Artrex took Andrea on as his assistant. When the mist hit, Andy was in the parking lot getting ready to go into the mall to buy some new camera equipment and supplies for her work. She tried to drive a bit down the road and ended up pulling over. She hid in the car for about a week or two then heard Artrex on her radio, so she made her way to the mall one quiet night.

Andrea is 27 years old, approximately 5'7" with red hair and blue eyes. She is a fast learner, modest and intelligent, a patient observer, and has impeccable detecting abilities as well as swift deductive reasoning skills. Andy's brain is always racing with questions and thoughts, so she rarely sleeps and if she does, it's for a short period.
