Senior Assistant Chief Forester, Park Ranger Banner's had a tough journey from the cabin in the woods to the mall. It's going to be even tougher to get back. At least he bought what he needed, gas for his truck and some groceries. But then the fog rolled in, and he's been stuck here ever since, just like the rest of us.
Lance has been with Fish and Wildlife for 8 years. Overseeing Kentucky National Parks is no trivial matter. A park ranger needs to know even more stuff than a police officer in some cases. Not only are you expected to issue citations, fines, or even make arrests and neutralize threats, you're also required to uphold nature preservation and Fish and Game regulations. A perfect mix of bureaucracy and outdoorsmanship, an explosive keg for one's psyche.
Lance loves fishing, loves animals, loves trees, plants, nature. He is an expert at hiking, trapping, foraging, and camping. He always packs a spare pair of socks. He knows which mushroom and which berry not to eat. He's calm and speaks with a tone of quiet authority on the subjects he is competent in. In areas not close to him, he defers to the betters. Lance is easy to get along with.
As recently revealed, Lance has combat training from having spent 4 years in the army, including being deployed as a vehicle mount technician in Iraq.
